Blake’s Bops // Yachty and Pump promise collaborative album

With the collaboration age upon us, we see more and more artists teaming up with other great names to create a dynamic sound we all love and enjoy. Last month another project has been announced and promised.

Lil Yachty and Lil Pump are two mainstream names that have had a lot of success in the last year. Sunday, Yachty hopped on social media and posted a conversation between the two rappers talking about their joint album. Pump says, “We gotta drop this tape” and Yachty responds with, “Let’s do it.” Yachty posted the screenshot on Twitter captioning the post “First of the year, We promise,” which leads us to believe the project is to be expected in January 2018.

Yachty didn’t stop there, and posted a reply to his own tweet letting us know that his anticipated album Lil Boat 2, a follow-up to his debut album Lil Boat that ultimately put Yachty’s rap career on, is still dropping before the new year.

Both rappers are known for their own personal flares on “mumble rap,” a new style or rapping one of the most debated topics in the hip-hop culture of today. This album will not only create hype around the collaboration of two mumble rappers, but will also draw attention to both of the young rappers, considering that the project is worth it.

Lil Pump released his debut album Lil Pump last month. Yachty is coming off his third studio production Teenage Emotions that was dropped in May.
