The Bulldogs drew the Lady Panthers in the first round of sectionals at Seymour Jan. 31. The Bulldogs plowed over the Panthers in early December with a 80-49 win; their record is 11-9

“We’ve been working really good together this season and I think that’s why it’s been so successful,” junior Alayasia Douglas said.

The Bulldogs are currently in second place in conference trailing Jeffersonville with a 5-1 record. This past Thursday the Bulldogs took a tough 68-48 loss to Jeffersonville who is said to be their biggest competitor in sectionals.

Bulldog standout senior Kelsy Taylor speaks on the loss to Jeffersonville.

“To win the game we needed to limit our turnovers and get rebounds and we didn’t do either of those,” the senior said. “We dug ourselves into a hole that we couldn’t get out of.”

With less than a month until sectionals start the Lady Bulldogs plan on keeping the intensity up and play to their potential; they have high hopes for this year’s postseason play.

“ I think we will pull through during sectionals with a good outcome,” senior Savanna Pinkston said.

The Bulldogs have another conference matchup Jan. 25 against the Seymour Lady Owls at home, junior varsity tips off at 6 pm and varsity will follow
