The days of beach blown hair and the splash of chilling water hitting the face are fading out as quickly as summer. Yet the only thing hitting a face in the coming months are gusty winds and stiff colored leaves. There’s no better way to spend the colder days than curled up on the couch with new TV fall line-ups and returning sitcoms.
Out with the old, in with the new
This year’s fall line-up features tons of new shows. All the way from ABC’s, 666 Park Avenue, to ABC’s Revenge, there’s sure to be a program for everyone of all ages. For those excited to see the songbirds of 2012, The Voice is returning for a brand new season and is neck and neck with anticipation with the brand new show The X Factor with producer and judge Simon Cowell and special guests Demi Lovato and Britney Spears. For those comedy lovers show’s like The New Normal are shaking things up and taking a comical twist on talked about issues.
Makin’ a comeback
New shows bring in new waves of new viewers but nothing can surpass the dedication of the die-hard sitcom watchers. TV shows like Pretty Little Liars and Switched at Birth are coming back with a bang to shake up the long time viewers and pull in new ones by mass numbers. Comedy shows are coming back in a big way this fall and junior Cameron Mason is counting down until the big premiere of the popular comedy sitcoms.
“I’m really excited for How I Met Your Mother to come back on this fall,” Mason said.
Television’s favorite nerds are also making a comeback this fall in yet another sitcoms favorite; something that has sophomore Allison Moore super psyched.
“I’m so excited for The Big Bang Theory September 27,” Moore said.
Sundays will be a huge night for television watchers. Viewers will fall in love with the return of the fantastic modern-day fairy-tale, Once Upon a Time, which puts a twist on beloved classic stories. Also reeling back in on Sundays is the suspenseful thriller, Revenge, which junior Mary Martinez can’t wait for. Yet, Revenge isn’t the only thing Martinez is eager about.
“I’m totally excited for Gossip Girl and 90210!” Martinez exclaimed.
With all of these shows and more, fall television this year is sure to be a hit.
