VELMA:
For Halloween this year, I decided to go as the classic nerd and dress up as Velma from the Scooby Doo Gang. Sure, I could go the simple route and order online, or go to a store and buy an already made up costume. But why spend all of that money on a costume that will only be worn once, maybe twice? Instead, decided to make the costume myslef. I went to Goodwill and purchased an orange, baggy sweater for $4.95 and a plaid skirt for $3.95. Whereas online, (http://www.costumecraze.com/adult-costumes-p2.html#tab=products&), a Velma costume is $23.73. For Velma’s signature glasses, I used a pair of old 3-D glasses. In the end, I ended up saving around fifteen dollars. I may not look exactly like Velma, but I’ve saved a lot of money making this costume myself.
