By Haley Funkhouser
When you’re on vacation you want to look fab 24/7, especially when you know you’re going to have pictures taken of you constantly. Here are some beauty tips to keep you looking camera ready your whole trip:
Waterproof mascara: Diving into the pool for the first time of the year is an amazing feeling. But then you go to wipe your eyes and you smudge your make-up. With waterproof mascara you can count on yourmake-up staying on all day. I would recommend Covergirl’s LashBlast waterproof mascara for the beach.
SPF Lip balm: You keep your skin protected from the sun with sunscreen, so you should probably keep your lips protected too. Make sure to bring lip balm with SPF in it to protect your lips from getting burned and chapped. Maybelline’s Baby Lips has SPF 20 in it and keeps your lips super soft.
Oil- free, waterproof foundation: The heat from the Panama sun can make you sweaty and gross! To keep your face from looking oily, buy a foundation that is water-based. It’ll keep your face from melting off. Oil-blotting pads can help with this too, be sure to keep some handy in your beach bag! Make Up For Ever from Sephora is oil-free, water resistant and controls shine, it’s perfect for the beach!
SPF nail polish: Believe it or not, you have to protect your nails from the sun too! There are now nail polishes with SPF in them. I would recommend Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear.
Tanning wipes: You go to the beach to get your tan on, but you don’t want to show up looking like a ghost. Sublime Bronze tanning wipes by L’Oreal Paris are great for doing touch-ups on your face and arms.
Perfume: After tanning, sweating, dancing, and swimming all day you can start to smell. To stay smelling fresh and clean, keep a small bottle of perfume in your beach bag. Victoria Secret’s Pink Warm and Cozy perfume has a great clean, floral scent to it.
Lotion: The sun can not only give you sunburn, but also dry your skin out. Bath and Body work’s Oahu Coconut Sunset lotion is perfect for the beach and will rehydrate your skin!
Beach hair: Want your hair to have gorgeous beachy waves? Try Not Your Mother’s Beach Babe texturizing Sea Salt spray. All you do is spray some throughout your hair and then lightly scrunch it.
