The Patriots did it! They are going to the Super Bowl, take that Roger Goodell.

The Patriots crushed the Steelers, 36-17. The Steelers were not expecting the Patriots to be as good as they were. They knew it would be a hard game, but they were definitely not expecting to get blown out. They were not expecting for their star running back, Le’Veon Bell, to get injured in the first quarter. He led the team to a lot of their wins during the regular season, so his injury was very major.
The Patriots came to play, they were dominant offensively and defensively. Tom Brady threw for 374 yards, three touchdowns, and went 32-42 on completions. The Steelers could not stop the Patriots’ bulldozing offense. A former undrafted wide receiver, Chris Hogan, dominated throughout the whole game. Hogan had nine receptions for 180 yards and hauled in two touchdowns. He was shredding the Steelers’ defense the whole game, and played better than one of the best, Antonio Brown. LeGarrette Blount didn’t have an outstanding game by any means, he only had 47 yards on 16 attempts; but Blount did have one of the craziest runs thus far in the playoffs. First, he ran up the middle for 10 yards, then he started to get tackled but shrugged the defender off for a few more yards. When everyone thought the play was over, Blount continued to stay on his feet and carried seven defenders for 5 more yards. The Patriots held their momentum the whole game and dominated the Steelers.
The Steelers played a good game, but they could not get anything going for them. Big Ben threw for 314 yards, and completed 31 of his 47 pass attempts. Ben threw an interception and only 1 touchdown. One of the best wide receivers in the league, Antonio Brown, only had 7 receptions for 77 yards. The Steelers even lost their best asset on offense, Le’veon Bell. The whole season the Steelers were crushing teams with the talented running back, so they were in trouble once he got injured. Bell injured his groin late into the first quarter and only returned for a play in the third quarter. The backup, DeAngelo Williams, only ran for 34 yards and a touchdown on 14 attempts. The veteran running back was no match for the Patriots run stuffing defense.
The Patriots will be meeting the Atlanta Falcons in Houston, for the Super Bowl. This Super Bowl will be very exciting just like the previous playoff games. The Falcons’ quarterback, Matt Ryan, is having one of the best years of his career. He is throwing for astronomical numbers each game and is a prime MVP candidate. Julio Jones is having an amazing year as well. The Falcons’ wide receiver has been terrorizing defenses the whole year. The Falcons have a very good defense, they are very young and extremely talented. Their defense is very comparable to the Patriots’ defense. They are both very good at deep coverage, stopping any rush attempts, and getting off the line of scrimmage quickly. Defense will be the main factor in this game. Both teams have amazing offenses, so it’ll be up to whichever defense plays better.
This Super Bowl will be very exciting. Two explosive offenses, with two great defenses. Two star quarterbacks, and two star receiving cores. I think that the Patriots will come home with their 5th Lombardi trophy. Matt Ryan will be outplayed by Brady, primarily because Brady has been to to the super bowl 7 times, and has won it 4 times. The Patriots have a more experienced defense, that’ll get the job done. The Patriots will win 24-14.
