The New Albany Bulldogs played their first game on Friday, August 19. The Bulldogs went head-to-head with rivals, Providence Pioneers. Both teams fought neck and neck to the end. The teams went back and fourth on the scoreboard. The game ended with a score of 19-21.
On August 27 the Bulldogs took on Castle in the home of the Indianapolis Colts, Lucas Oil Stadium. The Bulldogs managed to prevent their opponents from scoring in the third quarter, however the Bulldogs fell 0-45.
In their third game on September 2 the team played Jennings County. Jennings County came out strong taking the lead and holding on until the end. Late in the game however, the Bulldogs got a second wind and narrowed narrowed the lead from 16-34 to 29-34.
