#1 Manchester City
Manchester City will be the favorites to win their fifth consecutive title with their super star team of favored players such as Kevin De Bruyne, Erling Haaland, Phil Foden, and Rodrigo Cascante as the stars of the team. Only one new signing has been confirmed by Head Coach Pep Guardiola , Brazilian winger Savinho De Olivera was signed in the summer and is looking to give Manchester City more offensive capabilities up the right side to free up a more midfielder type role for Phil Foden and Bernardo Silva who previously played offensive roles up the right hand side of the pitch. Ben Bloom, a writer for the Premier League News Channel says, “ If this is to be Guardiola’s final campaign in charge there will be even greater incentive for a true Premier League great to bow out on a high. It’s not an interesting prediction – and a couple of clubs are capable of running them close – but, as ever, it will be a surprise if Man City don’t win.” City fans are in high hopes for the season to close out on another Premier League title.
#2 Arsenal
Arsenal will be the second favorite to win the premier league, which they haven’t won since the 2003-2004 season where they were nicknamed the “invincibles” for having an unbeaten 38-0 season. Over the past few years Arsenal has made great runs; they were the runner ups in last year’s 2023-2024 season.
The team has many of the same stars returning this season with the likes of Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, Martin Odegarrd, and Declan Rice being the dominant players team last season. One new signing had a fantastic showing in the 2023 Euros, Riccardo Calafiori, was just signed in the summer by Arsenal and is quoted by Arsenal play Ben White as “Calafiori is amazing”. Arsenal’s star signing is looking to give them the edge over Manchester City as they make their run for the title. Writer for the Premier League new station Adrian Clarke says that “Manchester City will be favorites to win their fifth consecutive title, but I do feel it could be Arsenal’s time to be champions. The team has improved under Mikel Arteta season after season, and if that happens again the Gunners will reach 90+ points. With a few additions and fire in their belly, I fancy Arsenal to end their wait for the title. “ The gunner fans are excited to see what awaits for this season.
#3 Liverpool
Liverpool will be the third favorite to win the title race and despite the changes that they have undergone, they will still have a strong and united team this season with star players such as Mo Salah, Virgil Van Dyke, and Luis Diaz returning to the club. One of the biggest changes is the departure of their beloved manager Jurgen Klopp. This is their first season under Arne Slot who was announced as the new head coach on May 20, 2024. This season is the first since 2015–16 without Joël Matip, who left the club after his contract expired and the first since 2019–20 without Thiago Alcântara who retired after his contract expired. Lots has changed for this club, but they are still a favorite to win. Adrian Kajumba of the Premier League Blotter says, “That is not quite the same at Liverpool who will no longer have the reassuring presence of Jurgen Klopp at the helm following his departure after nine years. A season of transition for Liverpool under Klopp’s successor Slot would be no surprise.” Liverpool fans are excited to see what the changes of the club can do form them in the 24-25 season.
