These students come from 22 sending schools from all across Indiana. The teachers there are focused on getting kids where they want to go and on their vision and mission. Prosser’s mission is to “Ensure each student the skills for continued education and for career readiness.” Another vision of Prosser’s is to “ Provide each student a rigorous career and technical education.” If you are wanting to get a great education experience for a specific line of work, Prosser is a good option to consider.
Programs //
Prosser has so many programs for their students. They have 30+ programs to choose from. Each of the teachers are certified and have some type of experience in the subject they teach. On the website Prosser.nafcs.org it has a long list, in alphabetical order, of the programs plus the different classes within that program they offer. It can go from Automotive Collision Repair to Industrial Automation & Robotics, and as far as Culinary Arts and Pre-Nursing. Those are just a small portion of what their career class options include.
Experiences //
Whenever students enter one of Prosser’s programs they get so many hands-on experiences with what you want to do. Getting to join in with these classes is a wonderful opportunities because when you are done with Prosser, you now are certified and are able to go work in your field straight out of high school without even having to go to college. The Cosmetology program is one of their most popular. With Cosmetology you get to work with real life clients even on the weekends. At Prosser there is a classroom with kids and the Child Development program gets to go in there and hangout with and teach the children. Students are already getting put in real life situations right there in their own school.
