New Albany High School’s NJROTC drill team were the top competitors at the Bloomfield High School Competition.
“I am very proud of all the cadets who competed. They really stepped up and came together as a team,” Battalion Commander Brandon Reardon said.
The drill team placed first in the following categories: unarmed platoon, unarmed squad, armed platoon, armed squad, and color guard.
“All the cadets did and outstanding job at the most recent competition Bloomfield High School,” Lieutenant Commander Maynard said.
They also placed second in sword detail and PT, as well as third in academic and rifle team.
“We’re coming a long way and we are striving for nationals,” Phillip Hubbard said.
At the end of the day, the NAHS NJROTC drill team won first place overall.
