Boys Basketball:
This weekend the New Albany Bulldogs boys basketball team took on Madison High School at Madison this Friday with the JV starting at 6:00 P.M. The Bulldogs came off of a victory at the Doghouse against Evansville Reitz beating the Panthers 57-40.
Anthony Edwards and A.J. Schmidt lead the Bulldogs in scoring last Saturday with Edwards having 19 points and Schmidt with 17 points. The Dogs came back after a tough loss to rivals Jeffersonville last Friday night and made the Red Devils turn the ball over 18 times.
Girls Basketball:
The Lady Bulldogs clashed with Hoosier Hills Conference rival Columbus East on Saturday; the game plays a pivotal role for first place in the conference race. Bedford North Lawerence leads the conference with a 3-0 record, so a win for the Lady Bulldogs would improve their HHC record to 4-1. But do not be looking for the Dogs to come out without a chip on their shoulders after beating rivals Floyd Central last Saturday at the Highlander gym. Junior Tanner Marcum led the team with 17 points and Lauren Camm led the team with 10 rebounds. The team goes into the match with an overall record of 11-2, also key players for the Lady Bulldogs are Tionna Peters, Kayla Ferber, Stephanie Iglesias, and Kamaren Cole. Make sure you Bulldogs fan tune in or head to the games this weekend to stay up to date with all the games that will be going on.
