Tattoos used to be seen as unprofessional and something only guys in biker gangs would have. However, the stigma has essentially evaporated as more and more teens get tattooed.

What is the significance of your tattoo?

“I have four tattoos and they all signify personal growth and family.”

Would you get another one?

“I actually am planning to get another one here soon so yes.”

Where did you go to get your tattoo?

“I go to the House of Ink.”

I always knew I liked tattoos but couldn’t see myself with any until now.

— Junior Avry Andres

When did you get your tattoo?

“I got all four scattered throughout 2019.”

What advice would you give someone who wants to get a tattoo?

“I’d say know what you want and make it something important to you. It doesn’t have to be understood by everyone, just by you.”

How well do you know your tattoo artist?

“I know my tattoo artist pretty well, he did all of mine as well as all of my sisters and some of my brothers tattoos.”
