Whether she was in the front office or the radio room, for nearly two decades Mrs. Guilford was a familiar face at NAHS.

How long were you at NAHS? I’ve been at NA for almost 19 years.

How has NAHS changed? When I came we only had 3 grades (10-12) and an open campus. We were in the middle of construction and we had one Assistant Principal (Travis Haire) and I was his secretary.  I’ve been in WNAS Radio for the past seven years with Jason Flener the first four and Brian Sullivan for the last three years.  That was a big change going from discipline issues to broadcasting.

What are some things you’ll never forget about your time at NAHS? Many memories with taking students on New York trips, ESPN coming, door decorating and all the excitement for when we went to State. Being everyday with our students was very rewarding.   I do miss them and, of course, my awesome colleagues.
Why did you decide to retire? I decided to retire at Spring Break as our grandson who is a Captain in the Army, was getting married in Denver we were going to visit brothers in Florida, and attend our Grandson’s graduation in Alabama. With COVID-19 going on, all was cancelled. I am looking forward to when some normalcy will return and travel again.
