With a new school year comes changes, one of them being new teachers and staff members. One of those new teachers is Lauren Falk. 

Q: What classes do you teach?

A: English 10 and English 11

Q: What’s your favorite thing that you teach here?

A: We’re reading Copper Sun right now in my English 11 class and that’s pretty cool.

Q: Is this your first teaching job? If not, how many years have you been teaching?

A: This is my first year teaching and so everything is brand new and so this is the first novel I’ve taught.

Q: Why did you come to New Albany?

A: It’s a great school, the staff is awesome, admins awesome, this is the best option ever. I got really lucky.

Q: How has it been adjusting to a new school?

A: It’s been good, I’m really lucky I have really good students and I think everybody’s excited to be back in school.

Q: What do you look forward to at this new school?

A: Just learning new things myself, getting through my first year, continuing to collaborate with other teachers in the English department because everybody’s just been so awesome. I just want to see all my students grow and be able to go through the year with them. 

Q: Do you have any goals that you hope to accomplish in teaching this year?

A: Well I’d like for the students to learn something but I’m taking it one day at a time.

Q: Do you think you’ll be here for many years?

A: I hope so, we’ll see how it goes.
