We all have our favorite shows, but how well are these shows doing in terms of viewership?

These days, a show lasting more than a few seasons is rare. Shows like the long-running NCIS, CSI, Survivor and Grey’s Anatomy are becoming few and far between, and the success of any show largely depends on the audience. Statistically speaking, shows with more amounts of viewers last longer. Here is a look into the best shows of the fall season.

With Mondays dominated by reality shows such as The Voice and Dancing with the Stars along with Monday Night Football, you would believe the ratings of other shows would suffer, however, that is not the case. In fact, Castle and the Blacklist are both in the #1 spot as scripted shows for each of their respective networks (in terms of viewers). What is even more impressive is the fact that Castle and the Blacklist keep the #1 spot going up against each other in the same time slot. Castle is in its sixth season, while the Blacklist is in its first season.

Reality shows are big hit these days, but who really is the best? In terms of the 18-49 demographic rating, The Voice blows nearest competitor Dancing with the Stars away, along with the other shows on Monday and Tuesday night, however, the number of viewers shows a different story. In fact, in the most recent ratings, on November 5, Dancing with the Stars beat out The Voice by almost 2 million viewers.

*The Voice was ranked 8 and 9 for two different days of broadcast – took best of two days.

Top shows to watch each weeknight:

Monday:

8 – Dancing with the Stars (ABC)

9 – Mike and Molly (CBS)

10 – Castle (ABC)

Tuesday:

8 – NCIS (CBS)

9 – NCIS Los Angeles (CBS)

10 – Person of Interest (CBS)

Wednesday:

8 – Survivor (CBS)

9 – Criminal Minds (CBS)

10 – CSI (CBS)

Thursday:

8 – The Big Bang Theory (CBS)

830 – The Millers (CBS)

9 – Grey’s Anatomy (ABC)

10 – Elementary (CBS)
