Who is the most followed person on Instagram? What subatomic particle carries a negative charge? What 20th ce ntury art movement did Salvador Dali participate in?
As a crowd gathered in the commons March 5, excited participants answered question after question. The group had gathered to participate in an Anchor Club-run trivia night to fund After Prom.
The categories included school subjects like science, math, and history, as well as ‘fun ones’ like the fine arts or pop culture, and anyone, from students to a team of English teachers, could participate. Although up until the last few questions, groups battled neck and neck, eventually one, named Team Edward after the fictional vampire, won out.
“I really liked trivia night because it was a fun way to hang out with my friends and bond with them while having to answer trivia questions,” sophomore Leah Olsanski, a member of the winning team, said.
The winning team won trophies and candy, and the activity is only one of many hosted by NAHS clubs. The boys basketball team is playing this weekend, the theater department is showing Peter Pan, and Prom itself is coming up sooner than later, which Anchor Club and the PTO have planned since the start of the school year. If students keep their eyes open, there is no shortage of ways they can have a great time and support the NAHS community at the same time.
